The role of the Local Governing Board is to provide strategic direction and policies for the school. The Head Teacher, supported by the school’s Senior Leadership Team, is responsible for the day-to-day leadership, with the governing body acting as a “critical friend”. They also report to the Board of directors of the MAT.
The governing body meets as full twice a term (one focused on Curriculum and the other on Resources), with various committees meeting as often as necessary. Minutes of the meetings of the full governing board are available on request from the school office.
The Chair of Governors is Mr Andrew Dawson.

Governors receive no remuneration for their work, but most find it personally fulfilling.
